Deck overview

This is a **Zaxara, the Exemplary** deck built around the two pillars of the command zone: an untap mana ability and an X- spell token engine. The game plan is to ram relentlessly into huge mana, deploy Zaxara, then use every X in the deck to spawn scaling Hydra tokens. Doublers like Branching Evolution and Corpsejack Menace amplify those +1/+1 counters, turning a single Hydra Broodmaster activation into a board of enormous tramplers. The deck's primary win condition is combat-overrun with Triumph of the Hordes orOverrun-but it also carries an infinite-mana combo (Zaxara + Freed from the Real) that feeds either a gigantic Simic Ascendancy or an army of X/X Hydras. The secondary plan is Simic Ascendancy itself, which can win through pure counter growth. The deck's mana curve is high (3.61 without lands), and its interaction suite is lean, meaning it leans heavily on its commander and on the speed of its land-ramp package to reach the critical X-spell threshold.
