Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Grixis midrange and reanimator build commanded by Sauron, the Dark Lord. It uses efficient artifact acceleration to cast Sauron by turn 4 or reanimate major threats like Archon of Cruelty, Vilis, Broker of Blood, and Jin-Gitaxias, Progress Tyrant using Entomb, Reanimate, and Animate Dead. Running eight copies of Nazgûl maximizes Ring tempt triggers, growing a large Wraith board while fueling Sauron's ability to discard and draw four cards every combat. The deck maintains control using asymmetric attrition pieces like Archfiend of Ifnir, Orcish Bowmasters, and Sheoldred, the Apocalypse.
