Thranduil v1 by user3260220

Format: Commander

Commander: Thranduil, the Elvenking

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Thranduil, the Elvenking turns the graveyard into an activated-ability toolbox. The deck's primary plan is to mill or tutor Elf cards into the graveyard, then use Thranduil as a one-card engine to activate their abilities: Devoted Druid makes infinite mana, Immaculate Magistrate offsets the -1/-1 counters, and Tyvar the Pummeler converts that mana into an enormous board. Secondary lines are classic Elfball beatdown with lords, token producers, and Lathril/Jarad drain effects. The commander is the central engine and the main outlet for most combo lines, not just a value piece. There is no double-faced commander; the deck is built around Thranduil's ability-granting face.
