Deck overview

This deck pairs an efficient Thassa's Oracle and Demonic Consultation combo package with an alternate poison and proliferate strategy led by Atraxa, Praetors' Voice. Fast artifact mana and black rituals accelerate early development, letting you tutor for the primary combo and close the game as early as Turn 4 with counter backup like Fierce Guardianship and Swan Song. If the combo is delayed or interrupted, the deck seamlessly shifts into a resilient midrange game plan. Toxic and infect creatures apply early poison counters to all opponents, which Atraxa, Tekuthal, Inquiry Dominus, and Contaminant Grafter proliferate each turn cycle. High-impact removal like Swords to Plowshares, Cyclonic Rift, and Farewell keeps opposing boards clear, while Teferi's Protection shields your board until the table succumbs to ten poison counters or a burst from Triumph of the Hordes.
