Deck overview

Homer, the Hermit commands a Sultai Landfall and Mill deck that scales with tribal creature density. The strategy deploys low-cost Crabs, Starfish, and Changelings in the early turns to build a wide tribal presence. Once Homer enters the battlefield, every land drop forces opponents to mill twice as many cards as you control eligible tribal creatures. The deck leverages land-ramp spells like Cultivate and Harrow, graveyard land recursion with Ramunap Excavator, and mass-mill spells such as Maddening Cacophony to rapidly deplete opposing libraries. To ensure milled threats do not assist opposing reanimation plans, targeted graveyard exile cards like Bojuka Bog and Soul-Guide Lantern shut down graveyard strategies. Supported by countermagic and targeted removal, the deck steadily accelerates its mill engine, ultimately winning the game by emptying all three opposing libraries simultaneously through overwhelming Landfall triggers.
