Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity spellslinger and storm archetype commanded by Codie, Ravenous Codex. The list leverages a unique suite of prepare creatures—permanents that enter the battlefield capable of casting powerful split spell copies. When cast, Codie automatically copies each prepared spell, turning single mana investments into doubled ritual mana, multi-card draw bursts, and tutor effects. On Turns 1 through 3, the deck fixes its five-color mana base and establishes Codie. On Turn 4, it deploys key prepare enablers like Blazing Firesinger // Seething Song and Emeritus of Ideation // Ancestral Recall to generate massive mana and card advantage. The deck reaches critical onset on Turn 5 by resolving Magecraft payoffs such as Storm-Kiln Artist, Professor Onyx, and Witherbloom Apprentice. Chaining prepared spells triggers Magecraft on both the original casts and Codie's copies, generating surplus Treasures and draining all three opponents from 40 to 0 in a single explosive turn.
