Mono Black control

Format: Commander

Commander: Kaervek, the Punisher

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This mono-black combo deck operates as an explosive reanimator engine designed to assemble game-ending creature loops quickly. While Kaervek, the Punisher provides recurring card advantage by casting copies of black cards from your graveyard whenever you commit a crime, the core strategy functions independently of him. You aggressively fill your graveyard using Entomb, Buried Alive, and self-mill tools to set up one of several lethal lines. The premier win condition reanimates Necrotic Ooze to activate Asmodeus the Archfiend and Skirge Familiar without drawback, generating limitless mana and card draw. Alternatively, Warren Soultrader, Gravecrawler, and Blood Artist establish an infinite life-draining loop.
