Blight Elves by lakes

Format: Commander

Commander: High Perfect Morcant

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a Golgari Elf-tribal deck built around the -1/-1 counter and proliferate axis, helmed by High Perfect Morcant. The commander blights each opponent on every Elf ETB - forcing them to spread -1/-1 counters across their own board - and can tap three Elves to proliferate, scaling the counter engine every turn. The deck pairs a classic Elf-swarm beatdown core (lords, mana dorks, token makers) with a -1/-1 counter payoff package: Nest of Scarabs, Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons, and Flourishing Defenses convert every counter into tokens, while Obelisk Spider turns those counters into table-wide drain. The primary fast win is the Blowfly Infestation loop that goes infinite with any token creator plus the Spider; secondary wins come from Shaman of the Pack, Lathril, Blade of the Elves's activated drain, and Ezuri, Renegade Leader overruns. It is a midrange value deck that grinds counters while threatening a compact infinite.
