Deck overview

This Izzet deck is an exhibition build centered on the story and cards of Ral Zarek alongside the Izzet League. Commanded by Ral, Monsoon Mage, the deck reduces the cost of instant and sorcery spells while using coin flips to transform Ral into Ral, Leyline Prodigy. The core game plan focuses on velocity, casting cheap cantrips, rituals, and burn spells to filter through the library. While the list includes thematic flavor cards such as all six Ral planeswalkers, several Niv-Mizzet dragons, and signature Ravnica burn spells, its primary win condition is a compact infinite damage combo: using Ral, Storm Conduit's -2 loyalty copy ability with Expansion // Explosion to generate infinite spell copies and ping all opponents to zero. Backed by countermagic and explosive rituals like Jeska's Will and Mana Geyser, the deck delivers a sudden finish once its key pieces align.
