Deck overview

This deck is a mono-black artifact aristocrats and graveyard-centric swarm strategy piloted by Imotekh the Stormlord. The core game plan focuses on stocking the graveyard with artifact creatures and triggering Imotekh's ability whenever artifact cards leave the graveyard, spawning pairs of 2/2 Necron Warrior tokens. Supported by unearth creatures, repeatable recursion engines like Tortured Existence, and cost-cheating threats like Anrakyr the Traveller, the deck builds an intimidating wide board. Menace buffs from Imotekh and Skorpekh Lord allow the token army to push through opposing blockers, while aristocrat payoffs like Bastion of Remembrance and Psychomancer convert sacrificial trades into direct life drain. Living Death serves as a decisive asymmetric reset and mass token generator. While vulnerable to targeted graveyard exile and lacking countermagic protection, the deck possesses strong recursive resilience and steady mid-game combat scaling.
