Deck overview

This deck is a Jund -1/-1 counters combo deck commanded by The Reaper, King No More. Rather than relying on its commander to win, the deck uses The Reaper primarily as a midrange board-control tool that shrinks opposing threats and steals creatures on death. The core game plan focuses on establishing self-sustaining loops using -1/-1 counters. Cards such as Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons and Nest of Scarabs generate a steady stream of 1/1 tokens whenever counters are placed. When combined with Blowfly Infestation, each dying token triggers the placement of a new counter onto another token, creating a loop of creature deaths. Adding Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, or All Will Be One turns these death triggers into an immediate win. Backup lines feature Yawgmoth, Thran Physician card-drawing chains and the infinite-power combination of Devoted Druid and Quillspike, backed by potent board-control elements like Maha, Its Feathers Night.
