Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Grixis prison and attrition deck designed to paralyze opposing development while engineering a lethal burst finish. Its mana base is uniquely built with 32 basic lands, enabling complete asymmetric dominance through nonbasic land punishers like Back to Basics, Winter Moon, and From the Ashes. It layers heavy creature taxes like Overburden, Pendrell Mists, and Tainted Aether to prevent opponents from maintaining a board. While opponents are resource-starved, the deck tutors for its primary win condition: Repercussion combined with damage-based sweepers like Blasphemous Act or Chain Reaction. When the sweeper resolves, Repercussion reflects massive lethal damage to each opponent based on their creature count, ending the game on the spot. If that route is contested, Torment of Hailfire and continuous life-drain enchantments close out the table.
