Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Rakdos burn and big-mana strategy built around Smaug the Impenetrable. Smaug possesses flying, haste, and indestructible, converting any noncombat damage dealt to it into an equal number of Treasure tokens. The deck accelerates through early turns using dense 2-CMC mana rocks, burst rituals like Jeska's Will and Dark Ritual, and incremental treasure engines. Once Smaug enters on Turn 5, the deck immediately targets it with high-damage noncombat spells such as Cut Propulsion, Shivan Meteor, Blasphemous Act, or Star of Extinction. Because Smaug is indestructible, it survives these massive hits while instantly creating 13 to 20 Treasure tokens. This colossal mana influx powers out lethal table-wide finishers including Crackle with Power, Torment of Hailfire, and Exsanguinate, or initiates an infinite mana and damage loop with Mayhem Devil. Damage sweepers act as one-sided board wipes, clearing opposing boards while supercharging the deck's treasure reserves.
