Deck overview

This Azorius deck focuses on Bird tribal synergies and evasive combat advantage led by Kastral, the Windcrested. The early game focuses on deploying low-cost flying creatures like Battlefield Raptor, Healer's Hawk, and Watcher of the Spheres. On Turn 4 to 5, Kastral enters the battlefield and immediately triggers whenever these evasive creatures deal combat damage to an opponent, offering flexible modes to draw cards, place +1/+1 counters, or cheat Birds into play. On Turn 6, mass pump effects such as Gravitational Shift, Steel-Plume Marshal, or Kangee, Sky Warden turn the wide flock into a lethal airborne strike force. Backed by efficient counterspells, spot removal, and card-draw engines like Bident of Thassa and Kindred Discovery, the deck maintains steady pressure while shielding its board from disruption, closing out games by Turn 8 through coordinated aerial attacks.
