Deck overview

This deck is a high-power mono-blue artifact deck led by Urza, Lord High Artificer. Urza functions as a ramp engine, token creator, and infinite mana outlet in the command zone. The deck accelerates in the opening turns using fast mana, low-cost utility artifacts, and cost reducers. On Turn 4, it deploys Urza to generate significant blue mana and establish asymmetric stax locks using Winter Orb or Static Orb, which Urza taps down before your untap step. The primary win condition is assembling an infinite mana combo on Turn 5 using Basalt Monolith paired with Forsaken Monument, Rings of Brighthearth, or Forensic Gadgeteer. Once infinite mana is generated, Urza exiles the entire library to cast all spells, winning immediately with Aetherflux Reservoir. Robust counterspells, Defense Grid, and Spellskite defend the combo.
