Deck overview

This deck is a Jeskai God typal midrange strategy helmed by the partner pair Atreus, Impulsive Son and Kratos, Stoic Father. The primary game plan revolves around casting both commanders early to generate experience counters through attacking with Gods. Kratos translates these counters into substantial +1/+1 counter buffs at each end step, while Atreus converts them into scalable card advantage and repeated direct burn to every opponent. The supporting 99 reinforces this plan with indestructible Theros Gods, spellcasting payoffs, and damage multipliers like All Will Be One and Purphoros, God of the Forge. Interaction features a solid suite of counterspells, spot removal, and efficient board wipes. Because experience counters remain permanently tied to the player, the deck retains resilient mid-to-late-game scaling even across removal spells, steadily grinding down opposing life totals through a hybrid of unblockable combat pressure and inevitability burn.
