Deck overview

This Izzet deck is an aerial tribal midrange strategy helmed by Ganax, Astral Hunter and the Background Feywild Visitor. The game plan focuses on utilizing low-mana ramp and tribal cost reducers to deploy Ganax and Feywild Visitor on curve. Once established, any combat connection from nontoken attackers produces 1/1 flying Faerie Dragon tokens, which in turn trigger Ganax to create Treasure tokens. This dual engine converts combat into mana acceleration, allowing the deck to drop devastating high-mana flyers like Utvara Hellkite, Lathliss, Dragon Queen, and Scourge of Valkas well ahead of ordinary timing. The deck backs up its board development with an efficient suite of cheap blue countermagic to shield against sweepers, while cards like Raise the Palisade clear opposing boards for lethal alpha strikes.
