Commander: Smaug the Impenetrable

Bracket: 5

Deck overview

This is a high-powered Rakdos turbo-combo list helmed by Smaug the Impenetrable. The deck leverages an elite fast-mana and ritual package to power out Ad Nauseam, Underworld Breach, and dense tutor chains, then converts that advantage into deterministic kills through Walking Ballista, sacrifice-damage loops, and Smaug-centric damage engines. Smaug the Impenetrable is a hasty, indestructible 8/7 that turns any noncombat damage into Treasure tokens, enabling explosive turns with Blazing Sunsteel, Pyrohemia, Simulacrum, and Self-Destruct. Most win lines live fully in the 99, so the deck still functions when the commander is unavailable. Secondary axes include Mayhem Devil drain loops, Brash Taunter redirection, Goblin tutor chains via Goblin Recruiter, and grindy value from Necropotence and The One Ring. The list plays like a cEDH-adjacent storm/combo deck with a resilient indestructible finisher in the command zone.
