Tarkir by Buddadragon

Format: Commander

Commander: Surrak Dragonclaw

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This deck is a casual Temur build centered on the morph and ferocious mechanics from Tarkir. Led by Surrak Dragonclaw, it deploys creatures face down as 2/2 morphs, then flips them for value triggers like removal, recursion, and counters. Ferocious spells such as Stubborn Denial, Crater s Claws, and Temur Charm become powerful once a 4+ power creature is on the battlefield. The primary win condition is incremental combat damage via trample from Surrak and recursive threats like Deathmist Raptor. The deck lacks infinite combos and contains no tutors, relying on value draws from Dig Through Time, Treasure Cruise, and Temur Ascendancy for card flow. Surrak gives flash, uncounterability, and trample, protecting key creatures and pushing damage through. The deck is synergistic but vulnerable to board wipes and lacks a fast, consistent finish.
