Deck overview

This deck is a Mono-Black Voltron Aristocrats build commanded by Super Shredder. The game plan revolves around exploiting the commander's ability to gain +1/+1 counters whenever any permanent leaves the battlefield. By deploying renewable token generators like Ophiomancer and Bitterblossom alongside symmetric sacrifice spells like Fleshbag Marauder and Accursed Marauder, the deck strips opposing boards while rapidly scaling Super Shredder into a lethal threat. Powerful stax and attrition engines such as Braids, Cabal Minion, Grave Pact, and Tergrid, God of Fright // Tergrid's Lantern establish early board dominance and prevent opponents from establishing stable creature presence. Evasive equipment like Brotherhood Regalia and Commander's Plate allows the commander to bypass blockers and close out games via commander damage by Turn 7, while an underlying drain package featuring Blood Artist, Ayara, First of Locthwain, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel provides resilient reach.
