Marneus Calgar - Forces of the Imperium - Upgraded by user8532871

Format: Commander

Commander: Marneus Calgar

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Marneus Calgar is the engine and finisher of an Esper token/aristocrats deck: every token entry draws a card, which fuels more token producers and feeds drain effects such as Blood Artist and Zulaport Cutthroat. The primary plan is to establish persistent token generation (Bitterblossom, Court of Grace, Skrelv's Hive), then use Marneus and Caretaker's Talent to bury opponents in card advantage. The secondary path is an aristocrat combo: Ashnod's Altar + Pitiless Plunderer + Nadir Kraken turns any token into infinite treasure, draws, and Tentacles, finishing with a drain outlet. Elspeth, Storm Slayer and Divine Visitation convert the token swarm into a combat kill. No hidden commander exists.
