Commander: Sauron, the Dark Lord

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a Grixis "amass" value deck built around Sauron, the Dark Lord as both engine and finisher enabler. Every opponent spell makes the Army bigger, and once the Army connects, the Ring tempts, turning Sauron's trigger into "discard your hand, draw four" - a massive burst of card flow. The 99 is a LOTR amass suite: Saruman, the White Hand, March from the Black Gate, Warg Rider, Mauhur, Uruk-hai Captain, and The Great Goblin turn one Army token into a game-ending beatstick. Wins come from converting that Army's power into damage: Chandra's Ignition deals it to every opponent at once, Assault on Osgiliath adds double strike and haste, and the Soul's Fire/Fling/Kazuul's Fury/Rite of Consumption chain mops up survivors. Secondary value comes from The One Ring and Black Market Connections, plus light reanimation via Reanimate and The Soul Stone.
