Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Temur Spellslinger storm strategy powered by a critical mass of sixteen Dragon's Approach copies and Iroh, Grand Lotus in the command zone. The primary game plan focuses on deploying early mana ramp and cost reducers like Ruby Medallion or Stormcatch Mentor while discarding or casting early Approaches. By Turn 4, the deck exiles four Approaches from the graveyard upon casting a fifth, searching Niv-Mizzet, Visionary directly onto the battlefield. Because Dragon's Approach deals 3 noncombat damage to each opponent simultaneously, Niv-Mizzet triggers to draw nine fresh cards. These cards fuel mana generators like Storm-Kiln Artist and Birgi, God of Storytelling, allowing the deck to chain through more Approaches and flashback spells via Iroh until all three opponents are eliminated in a single explosive turn. Robust protection like Fierce Guardianship, Deflecting Swat, and Hexing Squelcher shields the win attempt.
