Deck overview

Chatterfang, Squirrel General leads a Golgari token-combo deck that converts Squirrel production into removal, sacrifice value, and life-loss triggers. The strongest line is Earthcraft plus Squirrel Nest, with Mirkwood Bats as the payoff. Demonic Tutor, Wishclaw Talisman, Beseech the Mirror, creature tutors, and graveyard access give the deck real redundancy, while Sol Ring, rituals, mana creatures, and Cryptolith Rite improve its speed. A normal functional draw can assemble and operate the full kill around turn 6, although exceptional ritual-heavy hands can be faster. The deck has useful removal and several protection spells, but it lacks a broad proactive denial plan and cannot reliably protect every combo piece. Its main weakness is that the enchantment half of the combo is harder to find than the creature half. If the primary loop is disrupted, recovery requires several turns and multiple replacement cards.
