Deck overview

This mono-black Aristocrats deck is commanded by Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER, utilizing low-cost recursive creatures and token generators to fuel recurring card draw and asymmetric life drain. The deck quickly establishes an engine on Turn 3 by sacrificing expendable creatures to Sephiroth upon entry and attack. It leverages dense card draw engines like Skullclamp, Grim Haruspex, and Yawgmoth, Thran Physician to dig into infinite sacrifice loops. The primary win condition uses Phyrexian Altar or Warren Soultrader combined with Forsaken Miner or Oathsworn Vampire and a drain payoff to drain the table in a single turn. Backup lines leverage Tombstone Stairwell to produce massive burst damage across table rotations. The deck maintains strong creature control through free removal spells and edict creatures, though it remains vulnerable to targeted graveyard hate, artifact removal, and counterspells due to light stack protection.
