Deck overview

This Golgari deck helmed by Chatterfang, Squirrel General blends aggressive token generation with fast, lethal combo finishes and aristocrat drain engines. By turning every created token into an additional 1/1 Squirrel, Chatterfang rapidly builds high-density boards that fuel card draw engines like Skullclamp, ramp engines like Warren Soultrader, and instant-speed creature removal. The deck consistently achieves usable assembly on Turn 4 and threatens a game-winning state on Turn 5. Its primary win conditions bypass combat entirely, utilizing compact infinite combos such as Chain of Smog with Witherbloom Apprentice, Chatterfang, Squirrel General with Pitiless Plunderer and Blood Artist, or Ivy Lane Denizen with Scurry Oak. Supported by explosive card advantage engines like Ad Nauseam and Necropotence, the deck recovers swiftly from disruption and maintains multiple commander-independent paths to victory.
