Deck overview

Bard, King of Dale is the centerpiece of this Azorius token-swarm deck. Bard doubles both most card draws and all token production, turning recruit triggers, Caretaker's Talent, and Belladonna Took into an exploding board. The deck develops with early mana rocks, token artifacts, and legendary synergies, then casts Bard around turn six to multiply every Human Soldier and Treasure. Anointed Procession and Elspeth, Storm Slayer provide backup doubling, while The Arkenstone and Thorin's Last Stand turn a wide board into a one-shot kill via Visions of Glory. There is no hidden commander; Elspeth is the best secondary engine, not a commander replacement. The deck is a mid-speed combat deck with strong instant-speed interaction and enough protection to survive a board wipe, though it leans heavily on Bard for card advantage.
