Tentacular

Format: Commander

Commander: The Watcher in the Water

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a mono-blue draw-go control deck that aims to convert enormous card advantage into a Psychosis Crawler kill. The primary engine pairs draw doublers like Alhammarret's Archive and Teferi's Ageless Insight with instant-speed draw spells; the commander, The Watcher in the Water, is a slow but high-impact backup that produces Tentacle tokens and eventually becomes a 9/9 attacker after enough tokens die to remove its stun counters. A hidden subtheme around Jacob Hauken, Inspector / Hauken's Insight, plus Kitsa, Otterball Elite, provides alternate card advantage and free-cast upside. The deck's most reliable finish is a large Blue Sun's Zenith, but it can also win through a flying token army under Eldrazi Monument.
