Deck overview

This mono-black deck operates as an Aristocrats combo engine led by Razaketh, the Foulblooded. Rather than relying exclusively on its eight-mana commander to begin play, the deck leverages low-curve sacrifice outlets, recurring fodder, and card-draw engines like Yawgmoth, Thran Physician, Skullclamp, and Morbid Opportunist to build rapid card advantage. Fast mana including Sol Ring, Mana Vault, and Dark Ritual accelerates board development, while efficient black tutors such as Demonic Tutor and Vampiric Tutor quickly assemble the primary win condition. The main finish executes an infinite sacrifice loop utilizing Ashnod's Altar, Pitiless Plunderer, and Reassembling Skeleton, converted into immediate table-wide lethal drain via Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, or Marionette Apprentice. If interrupted, the deck leverages mass reanimation like Living Death and burst damage from Gray Merchant of Asphodel to close the game. Its primary vulnerabilities are graveyard hate and noncreature stack interaction.
