Deck overview

This is a Jeskai "legendary Wizards matter" spellslinger deck, helmed by Gandalf, Party Guest. His beginning-of-combat trigger casts an instant or sorcery for free with a maximum mana value equal to twice the number of legendary Wizards you control, so the early game is about curving out Wizards while also building a spell-casting payoff board. Harmonic Prodigy, Roaming Throne, and Wizard's Staff multiply the commander's trigger, letting the deck fire multiple free spells per combat and chain them through Kykar, Wind's Fury, Archmage Emeritus, Gandalf the Grey, and Glamdring. It wins either through combat, using Flying Crane Technique and Akroma's Will on a Wizard swarm, or through spell-based reach like Crackle with Power, Vivi Ornitier pings, Gandalf the Grey damage, and the transformed The Lord Master of Hell. The 99 contains several "hidden commanders" such as Kykar, Wind's Fury and Gandalf the Grey, so the spellslinger plan survives even if Gandalf is taxed out.
