Deck overview

Carmen, Cruel Skymarcher is an Orzhov aristocrats/reanimator deck. The primary plan is to assemble an infinite life-loss loop with Exquisite Blood plus Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose or Sanguine Bond, using Carmen's sacrifice-triggered life gain (or a lifelink attack) to start the chain. Secondary paths are a combat/reanimation plan with Elenda, the Dusk Rose, Sheoldred, Whispering One, and It That Betrays, plus a mana-intensive finish through Exsanguinate or Bolas's Citadel. Carmen acts as the deck's repeatable reanimation engine and sacrifice payoff, growing her power to recur key permanents and pressure the table.
