Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Dimir tempo and mill strategy led by Anowon, the Ruin Thief. The game plan establishes a fast board of cheap, evasive Rogues like Changeling Outcast, Slither Blade, and Triton Shorestalker to consistently connect in combat. Once Anowon lands on Turn 4, these unblocked attacks mill opposing libraries and draw cards whenever creatures are milled. While the deck can overwhelm opponents through combat and extra-turn spells like Notorious Throng, its primary win condition is the lethal two-card infinite combo of Bloodchief Ascension and Mindcrank. As unblocked Rogues deal damage, they charge Ascension with quest counters across early turns. Once active, resolving Mindcrank or dealing damage initiates an immediate infinite damage and mill chain that eliminates all three opponents in a single turn. Backed by asymmetric graveyard denial from Dauthi Voidwalker and Leyline of the Void alongside efficient counterspells, the deck smoothly converts combat pressure into a decisive combo finish.
