Deck overview

This Grixis midrange deck is built around Doctor Doom, King of Latveria, leveraging the Villain kindred type alongside connive triggers and discard synergies. The core plan deploys low-cost Villains in the opening turns, curves into Doctor Doom on Turn 4, and repeatedly triggers combat connive to filter cards, buff creatures with +1/+1 counters, and drain opponents for 2 life whenever lands are discarded. Support pieces like Ultron, Unlimited, Iron Monger, Sadistic Tycoon, and Leader, Super-Genius rapidly expand board power and generate token armies. Value artifacts like Currency Converter and Containment Construct ensure discarded cards are not wasted, turning them into mana and extra spells. The deck closes games around Turn 8 through wide, evasive menace attacks amplified by damage multipliers like Fiery Emancipation, alongside steady noncombat burn and punishing deterrents like Painful Quandary.
