Deck overview

This Esper deck uses The Second Doctor and Vislor Turlough to execute a group-hug forced-draw strategy with a punisher finish. In the early game, the deck accelerates mana and deploys The Second Doctor to remove maximum hand sizes and incentivize opponents to draw cards in exchange for combat safety. Once hands are full, the deck donates a goaded Vislor Turlough to an opponent, dealing substantial damage on their end step equal to their hand size. Symmetrical draw spells like Secret Rendezvous, Cut a Deal, and Minds Aglow rapidly bloat opposing hands, turning cards into liabilities. Secondary win conditions like Price of Knowledge, Viseling, Fate Unraveler, and Psychosis Crawler convert collective draw into table-wide damage. Defensive cards like Promise of Loyalty, Orzhov Advokist, and Combat Calligrapher keep incoming attacks redirected while opponents burn from their own resource abundance.
