The Dark Lord by Dakofomax

Format: Commander

Commander: Sauron, the Dark Lord

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Sauron, the Dark Lord drives a Grixis Ring-tempts engine that converts discard into massive card advantage. The primary plan is to accumulate Ring triggers via Nazgul, Call of the Ring, In the Darkness Bind Them, and amass effects, then use the huge draw to fuel an amass Army or a wide Wraith swarm. Lord of the Nazgul turns instants/sorceries into 3/3 Wraiths and later into 9/9 flyers, while Saruman, the White Hand acts as a hidden commander, amassing on every noncreature spell. A secondary line uses Fall of Cair Andros plus Blasphemous Act to create a giant evasive Army. Recursion from Sheoldred, Whip, and Rise of the Dark Realms lets the deck grind through board wipes.
