Deck overview

This deck is a high-powered Gruul aggressive combat and combo engine commanded by Anzrag, the Quake-Mole. The strategy accelerates mana rapidly on Turns 1 and 2 to deploy Anzrag ahead of curve. Once on the battlefield, Anzrag leverages high base power (8/4) alongside damage multipliers like Jeska, Thrice Reborn, Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar, and Xenagos, God of Revels to threaten immediate one-shot eliminations. If opponents attempt to block Anzrag, its trigger untaps all attacking creatures and grants extra combat phases, chaining attacks across the table. A dense suite of low-cost protection spells ensures Anzrag survives both combat damage and targeted removal. Secondary infinite combat combinations with Godo, Bandit Warlord and Aggravated Assault provide decisive alternative paths to victory when the primary commander beatdown is contested.
