Deck overview

This deck is an optimized Vampire tribal aggro-aristocrats strategy commanded by Edgar Markov. It leverages Edgar's Eminence ability to generate free 1/1 Vampire tokens whenever a Vampire spell is cast, building a wide battlefield without investing extra mana or exposing the commander. The deck curves low with 1- to 3-drop creatures, establishing an aggressive presence by Turn 4. On Turn 5, mass pump effects like Shared Animosity and Akroma's Will or drain engines like Sanctum Seeker and Blood Artist turn the token swarm into lethal pressure, eliminating the table across 1 response cycle by Turn 6. Premium spot exile removal (Swords to Plowshares, Anguished Unmaking) and asymmetric wipes (Olivia's Wrath) control opposing boards, while Teferi's Protection and Boros Charm defend against sweepers. If combat stalls, the deck can tutor an alternate infinite drain combo with Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose and Exquisite Blood.
