Deck overview

This deck is a high-powered Mono-Black Reanimator Combo strategy commanded by Avacyn, Angel of Horror. The deck focuses on accelerating its mana with efficient rocks, rituals, and swamp doublers like Cabal Coffers and Crypt Ghast to rapidly access its graveyard-centric win conditions. Its primary path to victory involves tutoring Mikaeus, the Unhallowed and Triskelion into the graveyard via Buried Alive or Entomb, followed by a mass reanimation spell such as Living Death on Turn 5 to execute an infinite pinging loop that eliminates the table on the spot. As a backup, the deck utilizes Chainer, Dementia Master and Gray Merchant of Asphodel or massive mana sinks like Torment of Hailfire. Defensively, the deck grinds down opponents with oppressive asymmetric attrition engines including Grave Pact, Sothera, the Supervoid, Dauthi Voidwalker, and Mindslicer, stripping opposing boards and hands while generating continuous resource advantage through its commander and sacrifice outlets.
