Identity Crisis by JShawVA

Format: Commander

Commander: The Ur-Dragon

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

A five-color changeling/Shapeshifter tribal deck whose commander, The Ur-Dragon, is most valuable for its Eminence discount rather than as a castable spell. Every changeling and Maskwood Nexus creature is simultaneously a Dragon, Demon, Sliver, Scarecrow, and Knight, so one tribal payoff applies to the whole board. The primary plan is to flood the table with efficient changelings, use Manaweft/Gemhide and Magda to accelerate, then either win with Liliana's Contract's four-Demon trigger or pivot to Scourge of Valkas plus Dragon Tempest burn. The Ur-Dragon can be cheated into play with Magda/Hellkite Courser for a big attack-draw turn, but the deck does not depend on casting it.
