Deck overview

This deck is an explosive Gruul combat deck spearheaded by Amarant Coral, whose 'No Mercy' ability turns traditional single-target Voltron damage into a table-wide burn engine. By deploying early ramp, the deck curves directly into its commander on Turn 3 and immediately threatens lethal life totals on Turn 4 using power doublers like Xenagos, God of Revels, Unleash Fury, and Temur Battle Rage. Trample ensures that damage pushes through chump blockers, causing equal noncombat damage to each other opponent. A dense suite of hexproof equipment, totem armor auras, and inexpensive protection spells shields Amarant Coral during vulnerable combat windows. Backed by secondary threats like Vincent, Vengeful Atoner and the infinite combat combo of Bear Umbra and Aggravated Assault, the deck maintains consistent kill pressure even when facing targeted resistance.
