Deck overview

This Esper control deck uses Saruman of Many Colors as a value engine. Each second spell you cast mills each opponent for two and lets you copy a matching enchantment, instant or sorcery from their graveyard for free. The primary plan is incremental mill from Ruin Crab, Hedron Crab, Drowned Secrets, Fractured Sanity and Cut Your Losses, amplified by The Water Crystal and Consuming Aberration. The only compact win is the Syr Konrad, the Grim + The Mindskinner loop, where damage becomes mill and mill triggers damage again. Saruman the White, Storm of Saruman, Archmage of Runes and the Leveilleur twins reward the same second-spell pattern while you control the board.
