Deck overview

This deck is a specialized Grixis-focused Dragon tribal build commanded by The Ur-Dragon. Rather than stretching its mana base across all five colors, it leverages Eminence to discount heavy red, blue, and black Dragons while maintaining high mana consistency. The deck accelerates through early cost reducers like Urza's Incubator and Dragonspeaker Shaman, quickly deploying lethal airborne threats starting on Turn 4. Critical onset occurs around Turn 5, where cards like Dragon Tempest, Terror of the Peaks, Scourge of Valkas, and Lathliss, Dragon Queen convert Dragon entries into massive bursts of direct damage and wide token boards. Massive draw engines such as Stinging Study and Kindred Discovery ensure a full hand of threats. Supported by low-cost deflection spells and targeted countermagic, the deck systematically eliminates opponents by Turn 7 through overwhelming aerial combat and burn.
