Here Be Monsters by RPTM6

Format: Commander

Commander: Aesi, Tyrant of Gyre Strait

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Helmed by Aesi, Tyrant of Gyre Strait, this is a Simic landfall-and-sea-monster midrange deck. The primary plan is to ramp hard, deploy Aesi as an extra-land/draw engine, then bury the table in high-end Krakens, Leviathans, and Serpents. It wins through combat with massive bodies, token armies from Spawning Kraken and Koma, World-Eater, and overrun effects like Overwhelming Stampede and Finale of Devastation. The deck also leans on tribal mass-bounce effects like Whelming Wave and Summon: Leviathan to clear opposing boards while its own sea creatures survive. A fragile backup infinite-mana line exists with Hullbreaker Horror, Kinnan, Bonder Prodigy, and mana rocks, feeding a gigantic Finale of Devastation. Kinnan, Bonder Prodigy acts as a hidden secondary engine, doubling mana from rocks and Arixmethes, Slumbering Isle while digging for threats. This is a grind-heavy deck that thrives when given time and weakens under fast combo pressure or repeated commander hate.
