venom by callybear

Format: Commander

Commander: Venom, King in Black

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon leads a mono-black infect/poison strategy. The primary plan is to land an early evasive infect threat or a global poison spell, then use Skithiryx as a hard-to-block flying clock, multiplying poison with equipment and proliferate effects. Secondary paths are non-commander infect creatures plus global poison/proliferate engines, with Vraska, Betrayal's Sting as a proliferate planeswalker. Skithiryx is the main finisher and hasty, regenerable Commander, not an engine. There is no double-faced or hidden commander; K'rrik and Crypt Ghast are support accelerants.
