Deck overview

This mono-black deck blends explosive Reanimator lines with a grinding Aristocrats engine and a lethal two-card infinite combo. Commanded by Witch-king of Angmar, the deck leverages its commander as both a defensive deterrent and a free discard outlet to place massive threats like Razaketh, the Foulblooded and Archon of Cruelty into the graveyard. Low-cost recursion spells such as Reanimate and Animate Dead reanimate these game-ending threats ahead of curve. Meanwhile, disposable token generators like Bitterblossom and Ophiomancer feed card-draw engines like Yawgmoth, Thran Physician and Skullclamp while keeping opposing creature boards clear through Grave Pact. The primary win condition executes on Turn 5 using Bloodthirsty Conqueror paired with Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose or Enduring Tenacity for an immediate infinite drain loop. Even without the combo, big mana from Cabal Coffers fuels lethal Torment of Hailfire or overwhelming Living Death swings.
