Deck overview

This Selesnya token-populate deck, helmed by Rhys the Redeemed, is a classic go-wide strategy that aims to overwhelm opponents with a rapidly multiplying army of creature tokens. The primary game plan involves deploying early mana dorks (Elves and other accelerants), then generating a critical mass of tokens through spells like Secure the Wastes, March of the Multitudes, and Endless Foot Assault, while Rhys the Redeemed's activated ability doubles the entire token army. The deck layers in populate effects from Growing Ranks, Trostani, Selesnya's Voice, and Wayfaring Temple to compound the board. Anthems such as Cathars' Crusade, Beastmaster Ascension, and Intangible Virtue turn the swarm lethal. A secondary elf-tribal component provides additional synergy and mana production via Priest of Titania and Elvish Archdruid. The deck lacks infinite combos, relying on combat inevitability and a moderate density of protection spells to survive wraths.
