Format: Commander

Commander: Thranduil, the Elvenking

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Thranduil, the Elvenking is a Sultai elves-and-graveyard commander. The deck mills Elf cards into the graveyard, then uses Thranduil's ability to borrow activated abilities from those Elves-chiefly mana producers like Topiary Lecturer and Woodland Weavemaster, and the pump from Guardian of the Halls. Secondary legendary Elves (Thranduil, Sindarin Liege, Trystan, Galion) function as pseudo-commanders, triggering Thranduil's draw and creating tokens. The primary plan is to grow Thranduil and attack for commander damage, with backup lines through a trampling Exdeath, a wide token turn with Morcant's Eyes, and pump via Titania's Command. No double-faced commander is used; the deck is built around the single face of Thranduil, the Elvenking.
