Deck overview

This Atraxa, Praetors' Voice deck is a dedicated Phyrexian toxic and proliferate midrange build. The primary game plan revolves around infecting all three opponents early using low-cost creatures like Glistener Elf, Skrelv, Defector Mite, or direct spells like Prologue to Phyresis. Once poison counters are distributed, casting Atraxa, Praetors' Voice on Turn 4 establishes a passive end-step proliferate clock. The deck then accelerates that clock using counter multipliers such as Tekuthal, Inquiry Dominus and Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider, alongside combat-focused proliferate creatures like Bloated Contaminator. Because poison counters are permanent and require only 10 counters per player to eliminate opponents, the deck bypasses conventional 40-life totals entirely. While the mana base suffers from tap-land friction and the deck lacks dedicated tutors and heavy protection, its functional redundancy and permanent counter progress ensure a steady, compounding clock that closes games by Turn 7.
