Commander: Eris, Roar of the Storm

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet spellslinger strategy helmed by Eris, Roar of the Storm, leveraging cost reduction from instants and sorceries in the graveyard to deploy a high-CMC commander early. The primary game plan is to fill the graveyard with flashback spells and cantrips, then cast Eris to generate a steady stream of 4/4 flying Dragon tokens via her second-spell trigger. The deck wins through combat damage from these tokens, often supercharged by Dragon Tempest for haste and direct damage, or through storm-like finishers such as Elemental Eruption and Crackling Spellslinger to create an overwhelming board. It also contains the Dualcaster Mage plus Twinflame infinite combo as an alternate instant-speed win condition. Value engines like Arcane Bombardment, Niv-Mizzet, Parun, and Veyran, Voice of Duality compound spellcasting into card advantage and damage. The deck interacts with counterspells, spot removal, and a board wipe, and is resilient through graveyard recursion and flashback.
