Deck overview

This deck is a classic Mardu Vampire tribal and aristocrat list helmed by Edgar Markov. The deck capitalizes on Edgar's eminence ability to generate 1/1 Vampire tokens whenever a Vampire spell is cast, effortlessly flooding the battlefield without extra mana investment. The game plan focuses on rapid early deployment of low-mana Vampires, followed by powerful tribal lords and pump effects like Shared Animosity, Stromkirk Captain, and Legion Lieutenant to threaten massive combat damage. In parallel, drain effects from cards such as Blood Artist, Sanctum Seeker, Wispdrinker Vampire, and Malakir Bloodwitch provide direct reach that bypasses enemy blockers. High-impact cards like Bolas's Citadel, Skullclamp, and Bloodline Bidding provide immense card advantage and recovery against opposing interaction. While vulnerable to exile-based board wipes, the deck's relentless token production, solid removal suite, and flexible win conditions make it an aggressive, highly resilient table threat.
